The Estate

The Estate

Mullinahinch is a fully modernised traditional farm bungalow situated on a large working farm. You will often see cows wandering right up to seated area at the back of the house or tractors working away in the fields. The peaceful surround allows nature in all it's glory with birds singing and crickets chirping, heard daily in the tranquil peacefulness of the estate.

It is located in the heart of springrove forestry, with forestry walks, cycles and runs on your doorstep. Close by is the river Finn and lough Inver.

The ruins of the original farmhouse are still partially standing. This has been converted into a modern and spacious garden area while holding the traditional values of the estate.

To the back of the original farmhouse is a large seated decking area and an outdoor bar area. There is lighting that adds to the ambience when the light fades and is beautiful in the summer months. At night time, beautiful clear skies give prominence to the array of stars in the galaxy with nothing to pollute or distract from the amazing sights.

To the front of the old house, this would have been the original garden, which hosts an amazing beech tree standing from that time, original wall and gated entrance from the time. In days gone by, the garden would have been more functional with horses housed after a days work, vegetable plots and a spring well making the estate more self sufficient. Today, it is more relaxed with shelter available under the tree and flowers growing along the walls making it a magnificent place to while away the hours.

Dotted around the estate are numerous original features, each with it's own story. Such as the pathways to the door of the old house and the decking area, which are made from stone floors from the original house; horseshoes that were found in the foundations when building the back garden; the plough dating from the 1800s; the turnip masher dating from the 1800s. There are many more each with a story and explanation.
